Student Spotlight

I've been taking lessons with Jon since August 2021, and my skills have drastically improved. We just had lesson #48, and after using ear training to learn-by-ear and improvise a solo using multiple different scales, I had joked with him about how on my first lesson I couldn't play a single scale! I had been playing guitar for over a decade by just learning chords and songs with tabs, but always wanted to go deeper into music theory and learn how to write, solo, and improvise on a key. Jon is a music expert, and he will cater his lessons to whatever I'm looking to accomplish, whether that be to learn a song I've struggled with, or to dig into ear training, theory, writing, practicing, working with a band, or even discussing music business, social media, and publishing! He's an all-around great guy and has become a real friend through our weekly lessons, I take insight from him that I use on my own (not-music) business all the time. If you've ever been on the fence about scaling up your guitar playing, listening, or creativity, you have to meet Jon.
